As a project planner, I was recommended to take part in this project. I need to design an educational and meaningful product for Guangzhou Tower, a landmark building in Guangzhou. As a result of communication with the team, we decided to design a pop-up book for children that explains the 'secret' of Guangzhou tower in a simple, interactive manner.
About
Project Intro.
This is a freelance project. My task was to design a pop-up book for Guangzhou Tower, the landmark building in Guangzhou, China. At that time, Guangzhou Tower was the second tallest building in the world and it was designed using many advanced architectural technologies. This book is intended to make children interested in architecture, as well as promote the Guangzhou Tower.
Challenge
At the time I took over this project, I was heading back to Australia, and I only had 2 to 3 weeks in which to plan the work with my team. The project was completed remotely after that. In order to achieve the right pop-up effects, I need to pass on my ideas to the book designer through drafts and words, as well as communicate closely with the production manager.
What's more
In addition to planning the contents of the book, I handled copywriting and pop-up ideas. I read a lot about architecture and try to convey it to the children as simply and clearly as possible.
My hometown is Guangzhou, so I am proud to have received this job and I hope more people will learn about this lovely city.
